MailChimp announces a new monthly pricing option for its email marketing services. Subscribers can select a flat monthly fee based on list size or use the pay-as-you-go plan.

MailChimp.com subscribers can now select a new monthly pricing plan for email marketing services. The new pricing plan combines the best of both worlds, allowing subscribers to select a flat monthly fee or the existing pay-as-you-go program. The new plan closes the gap with competitive solutions, giving one more reason to select MailChimp as an email marketing partner.
With the new flexible pricing plan, subscribers can select at any time which option is best for them. Subscribers with large lists and frequent campaigns will find the new monthly plans more cost effective than the pay-as-you-go model.
Charges under the monthly plan are based on the size of a subscriber’s contact list during the previous month. The monthly fee is $15 for subscribers with contact lists of 500 or less. Subscribers pay $30 per month for lists of 501 to 2,500 contacts. And at $150 per month for up to 25,000 contacts, the top published tier can be as much as 50% below the pay-as-you go costs.
