MailChimp today announced the launch of InstaChimp, a new application which allows Instagram users to easily turn their Instagram photos into an email newsletter. InstaChimp’s simple drag-and-drop interface allows users to select their favorite shots and share them with their subscribers. Template options allow users to pick how many photos are included in the email, and a simple text editor allows them to add copy or a personal note to their audience.

InstaChimp is the latest integration to come out of MailChimp’s $1 million Integration Fund. Built by Social Glu, the creators behind CraftMonkey, InstaChimp uses MailChimp and Instagram’s APIs to make creating an account simple. Customers simply log in to InstaChimp using their MailChimp credentials, connect their Instagram account and InstaChimp pulls in their latest photos.

“There are so many great potential uses for InstaChimp,” says MailChimp’s Head of Integrations & Partnerships Amy Ellis. “Bands sending tour photos, bloggers sharing everyday pics, crafters documenting their latest creations, and even families sharing photos from vacations, birthdays or weddings. InstaChimp gives people a really simple way to share their Instagram photos with fans and subscribers who might not have the app themselves.”

“I love using Instagram but was frustrated because I couldn’t easily share my photos with people who aren’t on Instagram,” says InstaChimp co-founder Michelle Riggen-Ransom. “We built this app so that the many folks using Instagram can share their pictures with more of their friends, customers and families.”

InstaChimp is free and accounts can be activated at instachimp.com.
