MailChimp today announced its integration with NEON CRM, a one-stop database management system for nonprofits. The integration allows organizations to sync their NEON CRM contacts with MailChimp, send email campaigns, and display relevant email campaign data within NEON CRM.
The integration between NEON CRM and MailChimp brings two do-it-yourself services together. Once a nonprofit has set up the integration all they have to do is select constituent data in NEON CRM and choose which mailing list in MailChimp to sync with. Users can pick exactly which fields to transfer and maintain full control of how the data maps from one service to the other.
The power in the integration comes in a user’s ability to segment and personalize content in their email campaign based on the data passed from NEON CRM to MailChimp. Nonprofits can use MailChimp’s custom merge tags, which have been assigned to data synced from NEON CRM, to personalize content. They can also segment their lists based on NEON CRM data such as donor level or membership renewal date.
Once a newsletter is sent from MailChimp, all relevant campaign data is displayed inside NEON CRM on an aggregate and an individual level, giving the organization a full picture of communications sent to their database.
