Email Marketing Intern Summer 2019
Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small business. We empower millions of customers around the world to build their brands and grow their companies with a suite of marketing automation, multichannel campaign, CRM, and analytics tools.
The Mailchimp internship program started in 2013. In the past 5 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing in some of the brightest, most talented college students from around the country to spend time with our teams. Our 12 week intern program was designed so that interns can grow their skill set, thrive in the Mailchimp community, and do meaningful work. They also have a lot of fun along the way!
Mailchimp’s Email Marketing Team is part of the Marketing Operations group, and works cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Design, Brand, and Operations to create beautiful email marketing campaigns. In 2018, we added Mailchimp’s Landing Pages and Postcards to our list of channels that we use to educate, inform, and promote Mailchimp products and services to our users.
We are looking for independent, nimble, and creative problem-solvers to learn and grow in our fast-paced environment. You must be highly-collaborative and be interested in learning the needs and goals of a variety of cross-functional teams. We are looking for someone who is interested in learning email marketing fundamentals and is comfortable with learning a SaaS product. This role will help you develop as a marketer and a project coordinator and gain experience in not just email, but design and brand marketing as well.
Start Date: May 20th or June 110th
What you’ll do:
- Support list health efforts and identify helpful process changes
- Help fulfill GDPR compliance requests
- Assist with coordinating campaign deliverables from multiple teams
- Build simple emails with design and content teams
- Quality-control outgoing email campaigns with key stakeholders
- Manage and collect user feedback from email replies
We’d love to hear from you if: or you have:
- Experience with data analysis
- Natural curiosity and an enthusiasm to learn
- Interest in basic email marketing fundamentals
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Working knowledge of Google Productivity Suite (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Gmail)
