Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small business. We empower millions of customers around the world to build their brands and grow their companies with a suite of marketing automation, multichannel campaign, CRM, and analytics tools.
The Mailchimp internship program started in 2013. In the past 6 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing in some of the brightest, most talented college students from around the country to spend time with our teams. Our 12 week intern program was designed so that interns can grow their skill set, thrive in the Mailchimp community, and do meaningful work. They also have a lot of fun along the way!
Start Date: August 26, 2019
Our Fall internship program has some flexibility in regards to school schedules; interns are expected to be here for the full of week of onboarding, August 26, 2019 - August 30, 2019. For students seeking a part-time schedule, the work schedule is set for full days on MWF.
The Business Development team is the first point of human contact for prospective customers learning how Mailchimp adds value to their business. The team works with businesses ranging from completely new to digital marketing to those switching from other providers and looking to optimize. The Business Development team is tasked with guiding conversations with prospective customers around the ROI of our platform offerings with features, integrations, pricing, and security, compared to competing marketing platforms. Through speedy relationship and trust building, the team encourages accelerated feature adoption leading to enhanced value from our platform. Our teams guidance sets SMBs up for success before their first touch point with Tech Support. If you’re passionate about helping SMBs grow, touting the benefits of smart marketing, and thrive on connections over the phone, in person, and via email with marketers, business leaders, and agencies, we’d like to talk to you.
We’re seeking an intern with a knack for developing efficient processes and a desire to experiment. You will work closely with the team manager to assess and improve the process of customer acquisition. You will develop workflows with the team, track experiment performance, and organize resources relating to the experiments. The ideal candidate enjoys identifying and orchestrating opportunities for data connections as well as orchestrating project work.. You have a strong organizational prowess, are inquisitive, and have a willingness to learn.
What you’ll do:
- Cultivate workflows for faster prospect pipeline progression
- Assess lead capture processes Develop experimental workflows with the team based on success/fail averages
- Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and conversion metrics
- Establish reporting and data distribution rhythm to keep stakeholders informed of team experiments
- Organize resources needed by the team relating to the experimental workflows
We’d love to hear from you if: or you have:
- Prior experience in marketing, sales, or operational support of a business
- Experience working with self-service SaaS solutions
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work diligently and intelligently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail, follow-through, and accountability
