Marketing Content Intern Fall 2019
Mailchimp is a leading marketing platform for small business. We empower millions of customers around the world to build their brands and grow their companies with a suite of marketing automation, multichannel campaign, CRM, and analytics tools.
The Mailchimp internship program started in 2013. In the past 6 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing in some of the brightest, most talented college students from around the country to spend time with our teams. Our 12 week intern program was designed so that interns can grow their skill set, thrive in the Mailchimp community, and do meaningful work. They also have a lot of fun along the way!
Start Date: August 26, 2019
Our Fall internship program has some flexibility in regards to school schedules; interns are expected to be here for the full of week of onboarding, August 26, 2019 - August 30, 2019. For students seeking a part-time schedule, the work schedule is set for full days on MWF.
The Content Development Team empowers small business people by creating resources that teach them to market smarter. We work cross-functionally with other teams in the company to craft content that serves current and prospective Mailchimp customers. This ranges from customer success stories to thought leadership to marketing tips and more. Our aim is to educate and inspire the minds behind small businesses all over the world.
Our dream intern is a versatile writer, willing to tackle any format—whether that means writing articles, videos, social media posts, promotional materials, or in-app copy. You are a savvy editor, and you’re comfortable sharing constructive feedback with fellow writers. You’re a tenacious learner and a team player, hoping to grow not just as a creative or professional, but also as a person. You have a background in journalism or marketing, and you dig small businesses.
What you’ll do:
- Write and edit marketing content that fulfills a strategic need, including articles, web pages, case studies, social and ad copy, emails and other assets
- Work with the team to brainstorm, edit, and enhance each other’s copy
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to produce content on the web
- Work with content strategists to improve the performance of content over time
- Work with multiple teams to understand our customers’ strategic challenges
