The Mailchimp internship program started in 2013. In the past 7 years, we’ve had the privilege of bringing in some of the brightest, most talented college students from around the country to spend time with our teams. Our 12 week intern program was designed so that interns can grow their skill set, thrive in the Mailchimp community, and do meaningful work. They also have a lot of fun along the way! All currently enrolled students are eligible to apply for the internship program.  

Start Date: May 17th or June 7th

The marketing team helps drive the Mailchimp brand globally, shaping the perception of our platform, while driving growth. The Partner Marketing team drives growth by building and enabling a community of freelancers, agencies, and designers around the world to help small businesses grow using Mailchimp. Our program enables these partners by providing specialized tools, training, insider access, and exposure to millions of small businesses looking for their services. 

What you will do:

  • Develop partner-facing communications for newsletters, program updates, and community and events initiatives 
  • Support the production of partner-focused and partner-led events and social media projects, working cross-functionally with the Integrated Marketing and Design teams to deliver an on-brand experience 
  • Manage production for always-on marketing channels for partner engagement, including emails, articles, website updates, and social media 
  • Contribute to partner Slack community content and engagement planning
  • Maintain an up-to-date calendar of all program marketing activities, inclusive of campaigns, media, social media promotions, partner activities, and events
  • Build Confluence pages, Google Drive folders, and other organizational tools and processes for the Partner Marketing team; update one-sheets, briefs, and events overview documents
  • Assist with research, attend meetings, and contribute to projects with outside partners, which may include creative agencies

We’d love to hear from you if you have: 

  • Strong written communication skills; writing samples required. (These do not have to be published clips—writing you do for yourself or for school projects or hobbies counts.)
  • Empathy for and interest in helping freelancers and small agencies grow their businesses
  • Proficiency in Google apps, especially Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Calendar
  • Bonus points for experience working with Mailchimp
  • Bonus points for experience for experience with freelancing or agencies
  • Bonus points for great proofreading skills
