Director of Deal Desk

As the Director of Deal Desk, you will partner with our Sales and Customer Success Operations, Billing, Finance and Legal teams and be responsible for opportunity management, contract review, custom pricing and invoicing processes. Reporting to the Senior Director, Care Team, this role is critical to our expansion and retention efforts and ensuring orders are booked and closed in a productive and accurate manner at scale.

The scope of the role also includes understanding and interpreting the impact of non standard terms and pricing requests with levels of ambiguity, while continually applying sound business acumen to help drive best practices and drive towards scalable outcomes.

What you'll do here:

  • You will be responsible for ensuring each deal is structured and processed inline with the company policies and confirming all deals are closed with the appropriate information in salesforce
  • You will collaborate with and establish solid trusted working relationships with team members, Product Management, Commercial Legal, Billing Operations, Order Management, Finance, and Sales Executives  with ability to influence policy, process and tooling automation requirements.
  • You will help maintain data integrity and record keeping for various deals and renewals
  • You will work cross functionally across various stakeholder groups including legal, billing, sales operations, revenue management, finance and customer success
  • You will manage / complete Deal Desk cases that are submitted from the revenue generating teams in collaboration with Sales Operations and Revenue Management
  • You will serve as the point of contact and subject matter expert on non-standard deal needs, special pricing, operations, approval policies, and troubleshooting of sales and customer success escalations
  • You will maintain scalable operations and feedback loop to the business to increase deal velocity, processes and efficiency
  • You will navigate complex decisions that require striking the right balance between business growth and risk mitigation objectives.
  • You will effectively escalate new solution use-cases outside of current approval processes

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent years of experience
  • You have 10+ years experience managing contracts, deal structures and invoicing/billing with an ability to design processes that scale
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally 
  • You have SaaS business knowledge, a working knowledge of revenue recognition principles and a basic awareness of commercial contract law
  • You can contribute to automating and streamlining our global deal processes via ad hoc operations and systems focused projects
  • You have the ability to develop a deep understanding of the company's products and services
  • You are proficient in navigating our CRM, Salesforce 
  • You are a leader with proven interpersonal skills resulting in an inclusive and highly influential work environment
  • You have the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and influence others through trust and customer orientation
  • You have strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills

Location:This role will be remote, and based on the East Coast, USA. Some travel will be needed to build long lasting and trusted relationships cross-functionally.
