We’ve published our third annual transparency report, sharing context and data about third‑party requests for information.

Today, Mailchimp published its third annual transparency report, sharing context and data about third-party requests for information, as well as how we enforced our Standard Terms of Use in 2020.

Mailchimp is committed to maintaining user privacy and confidentiality, and in the report we share what guidelines we use to evaluate and determine how to respond to these requests. We don’t provide a third party with information about an account that doesn’t belong to them without valid legal process.

This year’s report provides more information about our abuse prevention and compliance policies, and shares new information about how we handled potentially harmful misinformation during the global pandemic.

Mailchimp is a member of Tech Against Terrorism and the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, and through our membership in these groups, we’ve committed to strike a balance between the need to protect against misuse of our platform while protecting human rights, including the right to free expression.

Previous editions of the report are available for download as PDF at mailchimp.com/transparency-report/.
