MailChimp today announced Chimpegration, a new integration between MailChimp and The Raiser’s Edge from Blackbaud, created by Zeidman Development. This Raiser’s Edge plugin saves all sorts of time for users as they can quickly update all campaign details, input fields from The Raiser’s Edge into MailChimp emails via Merge Fields, and can comprehensively keep track of all contact between donors and the organization. Users just need to install the plugin to The Raiser’s Edge, and then open it in the “plugins” section. The app then guides users through list export into MailChimp, campaign management, and account synchronization. List export moves a selected list of contacts from The Raiser’s Edge into MailChimp. Users can then send out a campaign from within MailChimp to these exported lists' contacts. Chimpegration manages the results of campaigns sent to these exported lists, weeding out any bounces, unsubscribes, out-of-date or bad contacts to ensure accurate contact info. It can also easily synchronize contacts between lists on MailChimp and The Raiser’s Edge to ensure contacts are always kept current and accurate, and eliminating inaccurate and old email addresses.
Chimpegration, created by Zeidman Development, currently has two tiers of its application. Chimpegration Free version is free, and can export records directly from The Raiser’s Edge into MailChimp, and allows users to manage their campaign results. Chimpegration Professional additionally provides two-way syncing between MailChimp and The Raiser’s Edge to better manage campaigns, keeping records on both platforms clean and up to date, and it also allows users to view constituent email activity within MailChimp on the The Raiser’s Edge platform.
