Compliance with applicable law and this Event Code
You agree to comply with this Event Code and all applicable laws and regulations. Where applicable laws and regulations are stricter than this Event Code, those laws and regulations will govern. Where applicable laws and regulations are more permissible, the Event Code will be the expected standard of behavior for you.
Expected behavior
Mailchimp cares about the well-being of all Participants and aims to host Events where everyone feels welcomed, included, and supported.
As a Participant, we expect you to treat others with professionalism and respect, as well as a sense of humanity. In particular, you should:
- Treat others with consideration. Approach all conversations and interactions with patience, kindness, fairness, and honesty.
- Respect others’ personal boundaries—physical, emotional, and otherwise. What’s comfortable for you may not be comfortable for someone else. Assume nothing except that others’ boundaries may be more conservative than your own.
- Refrain from discrimination and harassment. Both are strictly prohibited, as are verbal threats and acts of violence, sexual harassment, or personal insults (especially those that reference an individual’s race, sexuality, gender, gender expression, gender identity, ability, religion, or socioeconomic status).
Consequences
Participants found to be in violation of this Event Code will be asked to leave the Event immediately. Mailchimp reserves the right to ban any Participants in violation of the Event Code or applicable laws and regulations from hosting, attending, speaking at, or staffing any future Events.
Report prohibited behavior
If you experience any of the above prohibited behavior, or any other behavior that makes you uncomfortable, please inform an Event host or Mailchimp representative immediately.
If an Event host or Mailchimp representative is exhibiting the prohibited behavior, please notify ethicsofficer@mailchimp.com immediately.
