When you connect your X-Cart account with Mailchimp, you can sync your eCommerce and marketing data to the Mailchimp audience of your choosing.   3. Log in to your existing Mailchimp account and automatically connect your X-Cart store to the Mailchimp account.

Are any of my automations retroactive?
No. You must add any contacts/customers manually to any existing automation (for those that may have purchased/paid before the automation started) rather than starting a new automation. The automation should capture anyone that meets the criteria after the publish date.

If I install the Mailchimp add-on for X-Cart, do I still have to sign up for a Mailchimp account?
Yes, you will need a valid Mailchimp account to use it with X-Cart and vice versa.

Will the sync create double contacts?
Email addresses are how we identify contacts. Therefore, if you have one person with multiple email addresses, we will sync over all emails as individual contacts.

Can I manage contacts and lists in my X-Cart admin backend?
No. After the initial add-on setup, all subscription management is performed via the Mailchimp back-end, where you can create campaigns, send newsletters, etc.
