MailChimp’s Technical Content team is made up of writers, editors, and content strategists who maintain our public knowledge base, create in-app microcopy, and work with email designers to craft transactional email copy. We collaborate with many teams at MailChimp to create the best documentation so our users can do their best work.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain internal documentation and training material for MailChimp’s Operations team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical writing experience
• Experience creating training and troubleshooting materials for engineers and system administrators
• Experience documenting and leading development postmortems
• Experience migrating documentation to a variety of content systems
• Familiarity with Puppet or other configuration management tools
• Deep understanding of the Linux command line interface
• Exposure to scripting and coding (Python, PHP, Bash)
• Comfort in a fast-paced, change-driven environment
• Exceptional ability to listen closely, recognize the needs of an audience, and write to those needs
