Mailchimp Offers Price Relief to Groups Fighting Racism in the United States

We’re helping to cover the monthly plan cost for eligible groups fighting racism and social injustice in America for the next 12 months.

Our Co-founder and CEO, Ben Chestnut, announced that Mailchimp is offering price relief for organizations working to end social injustice in the United States in response to the murder of George Floyd and the nationwide protests against police brutality and systemic racism.

The past few weeks have been especially hard. In the midst of a global pandemic, we’re also dealing with these most recent episodes of racism, social injustice, and police brutality in the U.S. We want to support organizations doing the work and don’t want cost to be a burden, so we’re offering eligible groups a bill credit to help cover their monthly plan charges for up to 12 months*. We'll base your bill credit on your last monthly plan charge times 12. See full offer terms below.

To qualify, the organization must be a nonprofit with a core mission of fighting racism against Black people and people of color in the United States, and have a paid Mailchimp monthly plan as of June 30, 2020. Current nonprofit customers with fewer than 10 employees and budgets under $1,000,000 will be prioritized.

If you feel your organization qualifies, please email action@mailchimp.com and provide the email address of the account owner and account name, along with your organization's mission statement, annual budget, number of staff, and website, if you have one. If your group qualifies, bill credits will be automatically applied to your monthly plan charges only, and are valid for 12 months.

We’ll update this page with more information as needed. #BlackLivesMatter

Offer Terms

*Price relief offer is for a one-time bill credit (the “bill credit”) equal to 12 multiplied by the combination of your recurring monthly Mailchimp plan cost and any monthly “pro” add-on cost (if applicable). Offer is limited to nonprofits with a core mission of fighting racism against Black people and people of color in the United States and who have a paid Mailchimp monthly plan as of June 30, 2020. To get the bill credit, email action@mailchimp.com by June 30, 2020 and provide the email address of the Mailchimp account owner and account name, along with your organization's mission statement, annual budget, number of staff, and website, if you have one. Mailchimp users on a Free plan or who have a compliance hold are not eligible. Eligible nonprofits with 10 staff members or fewer and with annual budgets under $1,000,000 will be prioritized. Mailchimp has the sole discretion to determine if an organization meets the offer eligibility requirements and whether or not to accept or reject any request for price relief. Limited to one offer redemption per Mailchimp account. Funds for price relief are limited.

If you are deemed eligible by Mailchimp (in Mailchimp's sole discretion), Mailchimp will apply your bill credit to your Mailchimp account. Bill credits will be automatically applied to your recurring monthly Mailchimp plan cost and any “pro” add-on monthly charges. Bill credits will not be applied to transactional email (fka Mandrill) plan charges or one-time fees, such as: additional contact blocks, Facebook ads, Google ads, and postcards. Unused bill credits expire after 12 months and have no cash value. You may lose your bill credit if you violate our Terms of Use or change your nonprofit’s mission statement. If you downgrade your plan, you may not be able to use the full benefit of your bill credits before they expire. You agree to make all payments owed on your Mailchimp account in accordance with our Terms of Use, and you authorize Mailchimp to charge your payment method accordingly. Mailchimp may terminate or discontinue this promotion, or modify or change these terms and conditions and our fees and pricing structure, at any time. These offer terms do not replace Mailchimp’s standard Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which also continue to apply to your use of Mailchimp.
