Looking for help with your list?
Mailchimp lists are now called audiences. They include the same data and functionality as before, along with valuable new insights about your contacts. As we introduce this change over time, you’ll notice fewer places where we still say list. Learn more about this change.
If you signed up for Mailchimp but haven’t received the email to activate your account, there are a few things you can check.
In this article, you’ll learn about a few common delivery problems, and how to resolve them.
I didn’t receive my activation email.
Here are a few common delivery issues that can affect the activation email.
- The email is still in transit. The time it takes to receive the activation email can vary. Depending on internet traffic and how busy your ISP is, it can take some time for emails to arrive. This is more likely to happen around holidays and peak sending times. Wait a few hours and check again.
- The email is in a spam folder. Check your junk or spam folder to see if the activation email arrived there.
- A corporate firewall blocked the email. Some corporate email servers have firewalls, which block certain emails in an attempt to provide greater security. If you're on a corporate email server, check with your server administrator to make sure that emails from @mailchimp.com addresses aren't being blocked.
- There was a typo in the signup email address. Yep, we've done that, too. Confirm that you used the right address to sign up. If not, repeat the steps to set up an account.
