About the Landing Page Privacy and Terms Badge

When you create a draft landing page, we’ll provide a default privacy and terms badge that links to Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

If you want to disable the default badge, you’ll need to add your own privacy and terms information to your landing page. Depending on the type of information you’re collecting on your page and what laws are applicable to your business, you may be required to provide a privacy policy and terms of use statement to people who visit your page.

In this article, you’ll learn about how the privacy and terms badge works, how to style it, and how to turn it off.

Before You Start

Here are a few things to know before you start.

  • The links in the default badge can’t be edited, but you can style the default privacy badge to fit the design of your landing page.
  • Any style changes you make will only apply to the landing page you’re editing. You’ll need to set the style for the badge each time you create a draft landing page.

How The Privacy & Terms Work

The default badge includes buttons that link to the Mailchimp Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. You’ll find the badge on the bottom of your landing page.

Your audience will see the badge when they visit your published page. If someone views your landing page on a mobile device, the badge will look similar to how it appears in a web browser.

To set the style, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns page.
  2. Click the name of the landing page you want to work with.
  3. In the editor, click the Design tab.

Turn Off The Default Privacy & Terms Badge

If you want to turn off the default privacy badge, you’ll have to provide your own terms and policy information on your landing page.

It’s up to you how you want to include your terms and privacy information on your landing page, but it’s important that you put it in a highly visible area. There are several types of content blocks you can use to include this information in your campaign.

To turn off the default badge, follow these steps.

  1. Navigate to the Campaigns page.
