When you purchase a domain in Mailchimp, add a Google Workspace account to include a custom email address with a Gmail inbox. You'll also be able to use other features Google offers, like Google Drive and Google Calendar.
In this article, you’ll learn how to use Google Workspace with Mailchimp.
Before You Start
Here are some things to know before you begin this process.
- If you want to set up your Google Workspace account through Mailchimp, you’ll need to add it when you purchase your domain in Mailchimp.
- If you've already purchased a domain but want to add Google Workspace, you can set up an account with Google and manage your records in your Advanced DNS Settings.
How Google Workspace works with Mailchimp
Every Mailchimp domain is automatically verified and authenticated for sending emails through our service. If you want to set up a custom email address on your Mailchimp domain, you’ll have two options when you purchase: create a forwarding address with no inbox, or add a Google Workspace account with a Gmail inbox.
You can use your Google Workspace email address like any other Gmail address. If you set it as a branded From address for your Mailchimp campaigns, replies from recipients will go to the associated Gmail inbox by default. The Google Workspace add-on gives you access to a Business Starter Edition account with Google, which includes 300GB of cloud storage and 24/7 Google support.
And when you purchase Google Workspace through Mailchimp, we’ll automatically set up the necessary domain records and manage your billing for this add-on.
Purchase Google Workspace
To get started, you’ll need to add Google Workspace at the time of your domain purchase. You can choose a monthly or annual payment plan.
When your purchase is complete and the domain is verified, Google will email your Mailchimp account's primary contact to finish setup.
Manage Google Workspace
You’ll manage some details of your Google Workspace add-on with Google, and other details with Mailchimp.
View details in Mailchimp
The domains management page for your purchased domain includes some basic details about your Google Workspace plan, including the number of user seats, billing type and cost, and renewal date.
Manage your email address or inbox
If you need to make changes to your email address, inbox, or other Google features, log in to Google Workspace with your administrator address and make your updates as needed. To learn more, check out Google Workspace Admin Help.
