Getting Started with Premium Demo Accounts
If you're a Mailchimp & Co partner, you can get a Mailchimp Marketing demo account with pre-loaded data and campaigns. Use this account to create campaigns, build segments, and produce reports in real-time as you show clients everything Mailchimp has to offer.
In this article, you’ll learn about premium demo accounts and how to create one.
Before you start
Here are some things to know before you begin.
- The Mailchimp pre-populated premium demo account is available to Mailchimp & Co partners only. If you aren't a current Mailchimp & Co partner, learn more about our Mailchimp & Co partner program.
- If you have an existing Mailchimp account that you’ve been using as an agency or freelancer, we recommend using it to join Mailchimp & Co.
- If you don’t already have a Mailchimp account, learn more at How to Create an Account. You may also want to learn how to verify your email domain.
- Each user ID associated with a Mailchimp & Co account can create a maximum of 1 premium demo account.
How it works
The premium demo account contains data and information associated with a fictional e-commerce business named Assembly. Assembly sells lighting products and services. The demo account is a Premium account that has been active for 1.5 years.
The account contains the following pre-populated data:
- A Mailchimp account homepage with 30, 60, and 90 days of data. The numbers and graphs shown won’t change after a refresh.
- An audience named eComm with about 5,000 contacts with tags. Revenue and order data isn't available.
- An active abandoned cart customer journey and report. The numbers and graphs shown won't change, and the journey will be displayed as paused. Avoid editing email content from the automation view.
- Two newsletters and reports. The numbers shown won't change after a refresh.
- A marketing dashboard with 30, 60, and 90 days of data. The numbers and graphs shown won't change.
- You’ll be able to access in-line text generation for subject lines, preview text, and paragraphs. You may encounter errors when building AI-assisted pre-built customer journeys due to limited data.
The data in the demo account refreshes every 7 days to help keep it current. Any changes you make manually will be deleted during the reset.
Create a premium demo account
While you can only have one premium demo account for each user ID, each user associated with a Mailchimp & Co account can create their own demo account.
To create a premium demo account, follow these steps.
- Log in to your Mailchimp & Co partner account.
- Find the Demo Account tab.
- Enter a unique username and password for your demo account. We recommend using the naming convention
YourNameMCDemoAccount
for the username. For example,TinaMCDemoAccount
. Your password must contain at least 8 characters, 1 lower case letter, 1 upper case letter, 1 number, and 1 special character. It can’t contain your username.
- Click Create Account.
Great! You’ve created your premium demo account. You’ll see a success message right away. Within 24 hours, we'll send you an email saying that we've filled your premium demo account with example data and it's ready to use.
You can sign in to your demo account at any time. If you forget your demo account credentials, follow the recovery steps on the Mailchimp log in page.
