Facebook and Instagram Ad Reports

Mailchimp reports help you measure engagement and audience response for your ad, including views, clicks, and return on investment (ROI). This data can help you refine your marketing strategy and get the most out of your ad budget.

In this article, you'll learn about your Facebook or Instagram ad report.

View Your Report

After your ad is posted to social media, it'll take about 24 hours to start gathering results. To view your report, navigate to the Reports section of your Mailchimp account. Click the name of your ad to view more.

Report Statistics

We'll update these statistics once every 24 hours for the length of your ad's run.

Here's what you'll find in your ad report, and what the terms mean.

  • People reached
    The total number of social media users who saw your ad.
  • Impressions
    The total number of times your ad was displayed. A customer who saw your ad 3 times would count as 1 reach, and 3 impressions.

  • Clicks
    The number of clicks your ad received.

  • Unique clicks
    The number of people who clicked your ad.
  • Click rate
    The percentage of all ad viewers who clicked your ad.
  • Ad comments
    Total number of comments on your ad.
  • Ad shares
    Total number of times your ad was shared.
  • Ad likes
    The total number of Facebook likes your ad received.
  • Average daily budget
    The average amount you've spent per day on the ad.
  • Cost per click
    The approximate amount you're spending on your ad per click

Enhanced Revenue Reporting

If you've connected your Magento, Prestashop, or WooCommerce store, you can access comprehensive revenue stats in your report, including ROI, total orders, and more.

Here are the revenue statistics that we track for your ad.

  • Top 10 products sold
  • Total products sold
  • Total orders
  • First-time customers
  • Average order amount
  • Total revenue
  • ROI percentage
    revenue minus cost, divided by cost

The majority of your revenue statistics update once per day. The ROI percentage will be pending until the ad is done.

View Facebook Comments and Likes

To view comments, likes, and shares, open your ad report and click View on Facebook.

We'll show you the ad in Facebook, so you can reply to comments or customer inquiries.

View Instagram Comments and Likes

In your ad report, click View on Instagram to see a preview of your ad, along with comments and likes from your audience.

We'll show you the ad in Instagram, so you can reply to comments or customer inquiries.

Note : Instagram's ad preview mode will only show the first slide of carousel ads. Rest assured that Instagram displayed your full ad online.
