Edit your account details to change important settings that affect your campaigns, audiences, billing, and more. This includes your account name, time zone, currency format, industry stats, and default email builder. You can also choose which emails you want to receive from Mailchimp.
In this article, you'll learn how to change the detail settings for your account.
Access account details
You’ll find the Details page in your account settings. Users with Owner- or Admin-level access can enable notifications to send an alert via email or SMS when a change is made to your account details. This is optional, but recommended for account security.
To access your account details, follow these steps.
Here, you'll see sections where you can edit different types of account details. If you add or alter information, click Save to confirm changes to that specific section.
Edit account name, region, time, and currency
In the main Details section, view or change your account name, set your region and time zone, choose a preferred date and time format, and set a default currency format. Then, click Save to confirm your changes.
Here’s an overview of how we use the settings in this section.
View or update your account name. This is not visible to contacts. Your account name appears at the top of your profile menu and on the login page.
Region and Timezone
Use the drop-downs to set your region and time zone. We'll use your time zone to display times for campaign sends, imports, and signups.
Date and Time Format
Choose the date and time format (MM/DD, DD/MM, 12-hour, 24-hour) that appears throughout your account. Dates and times will display in campaigns, audience creations, and date fields in an audience.
Default currency format that appears on the Billing pages in your account.
Set default email builder
In the Default Email Builder section, choose between Classic Builder and New Builder and click Save to confirm. We’ll display a check mark on your account’s current default.
In the Help us improve stats section, click the drop-downs to set your industry type, as well as the size and age of your organization. We use this kind of general, anonymous account data to help Mailchimp tools make better recommendations. For example, we might use this data to help us determine things like the best times to send a certain type of email campaign, or how your open rate compares to similar companies.
Receive emails from Mailchimp
In the Email from Mailchimp section, we offer a selection of notifications and newsletters designed to help you keep up with your audiences and improve your marketing. Check the box next to each one you'd like to receive, then click Save.
Manage automatic replies
If you want to prevent out-of-office or vacation responses, navigate to the Manage automatic replies section and check the Reject automatic replies to my campaigns box. Then, click Save.
