CLIENT SOS: Upping Your Elvis is a training organization that specializes in helping people manage their energy levels. Business was great, until the pandemic cleared out offices. Suddenly, getting online became priority #1. To translate their in-person sessions into a DIY format, Upping Your Elvis decided to publish a book that would be paired with an accompanying digital training program. That’s where Robin swooped in. To encourage customers to stay on track through the 20-day digital program, Robin created a series of automated email reminders to cheer readers on. There was one hitch: Upping Your Elvis wanted the emails sent out at the same times every day, but international time zones were standing in the way.
WHAT SAVED THE DAY: An interconnected series of automations, tied to the readers’ progress, sent out daily video reminders at 7 am and 4 pm. Robin used Zapier (an integration that facilitates inter-app communication), to ensure emails got into inboxes at the right times, no matter where customers were in the world. Not only did Robin’s automations save his customers’ time, he developed a system impervious to time zones.
