With our appointment scheduling tools, contacts can book appointments with you and purchase your products and services online. You can offer professional one-on-one or group services directly from your website.
In this article, you'll learn how Appointment Scheduling works in Mailchimp.
Appointments allow you to offer services such as workshops, classes, or meetings to your contacts. After you create a service and provide some important details about the consultation type, pricing, and available times, we’ll automatically generate a Service Listing page and an Appointment Confirmation page on your Mailchimp website.
The Service Listing page can be visited at a URL under your website's domain. For example, if your website is published at example.mailchimpsites.com, your appointments will be available at example.mailchimpsites.com/book-online.
If you don't have a website with Mailchimp yet, this page will also appear at example.mailchimpsites.com. Each individual service you create will have a unique and customizable URL that you can share in an email campaign or social post, like example.mailchimpsites.com/book-online/101-class, which takes your contact directly to a specific service.
You can create a one-on-one service where one person can book an appointment at an available timeslot.
Upgrading to the Advanced Scheduling paid add-on gives you more options. You can create group services where multiple people can book an appointment or service, such as a workshop or yoga class. You can also create unlimited one-on-one or group services. And, with the paid add-on, you have the option to remove Mailchimp’s branding from your site.
For detailed instructions on how to upgrade to Advanced Scheduling, checkout Use Mailchimp Appointment Scheduling.
When creating your one-on-one or group service, you can enable SMS appointment-related text messages for your contacts. If you enable this feature, contacts with a US phone number will have the option of receiving a confirmation text message.
If a contact chooses to opt in to SMS messages, they’ll receive a confirmation text with the appointment details. If at any point following an opt-in, a contact chooses to opt out from receiving SMS messages, they’ll be unsubscribed from all future messages.
For detailed instructions on how to set up SMS for appointments, check out Use Mailchimp Appointment Scheduling.
Note
Opting out could prevent the delivery of appointment-related messages for multiple services. For example, if the contact has previously opted in to receive messages about multiple appointments and then opts out, they may not receive appointment-related messages for all appointments booked.
Once you’ve created your service, you're ready to start booking appointments. A contact will select an available service, choose an appointment time, and add their contact information. They can also leave additional notes, subscribe to your email marketing, or opt-in to SMS messages.
After reviewing the appointment details and confirming, contacts will see the Appointment Confirmation page and receive an email with appointment details. They’ll have the option to Book Another Appointment or Cancel.
When you publish your service, your listing and confirmation pages are immediately available for contacts to book appointments with you. We’ll apply any default styles you’ve set for your website, and you can customize as needed.
If you’re working with your Service Listing Page, you can hover over the Services section and choose Manage Services to edit the service itself.

After you create your services and start accepting appointments, you can manage your services and appointments from your appointments dashboard.
From your appointments dashboard, you can see a list of upcoming and past appointments. You can use the Details dropdown to view appointment details or cancel the appointment altogether.
You'll also see a list of your available services from the dashboard. You can Add New Service, Edit, or Delete a service at any time. You can toggle your service availability on or off and copy your Service Listing page URL to share with customers.
